BETSY SIBLEY

Elizabeth (Betsy) Sibley is a practicing artist and teacher. In addition to receiving her MA, MFA in Fiber at UWM she has studied with many Fiber/Textile artists throughout the country. Her own recent work utilizes computer images, rescued materials in addition to stitchery to create personal imagery. Betsy is a familiar face at NISDA.

Generations Together A Multi-Age Family + Friends Art Workshop Instructor: tba Days // Times: Fridays 9:30 am–12 pm Tuition per week: $ 75 for 2 participants $ 25 for each additional participant in the group A fun filled morning of creativity for all ages! Bring the whole family... houseguests... and friends! Register for the entire series or select specific days. Children registered in the Young Artists program are automatically enrolled and invited to bring a guest.

BIG SELF-PORTRAITS 4 day workshop Teen 13+ // Adult Instructor: Ian Torney Days // Times: July 15-18 Tuesday - Friday // 9:30 am–12 noon Tuition: $ 250 Students will create a dramatic, finished and larger-than-life self-portrait on @ 40” x 60” parchment paper or a large piece of cardboard, building a portrait image in a step-by-step process from a photograph, from a line drawing in graphite, to a limited palette in acrylic using Burnt Umber and white paint in washes of value, and utilizing both Classical and contemporary methodology and practice.
